Eligibility Guidelines
Priority is given to applicants who qualify in the following ways. Your ministry must address the needs of women and/or their families. An individual may apply, but the ministry must be accountable to an organization (church, para-church, community organization, etc.). Start-up and new womens ministries are encouraged to apply. We do not grant funding for salaries, stipends, and the like.
How to apply for a grant
When can you expect an answer?
The board meets several times a year to review grant requests. A board member will typically reply within 30 days of your grant proposal to acknowledge receipt and seek any additional information needed
How much is a typical grant?
Grants can range in size from $500 to $10,000 based on ministry impact and need. Typical grant requests are for around $5,000.
What happens if I receive a grant?
You will be contacted by a member of the board to coordinate granting of funds. When funds are granted, you are responsible to supply Coming Alongside with receipts and/or itemized usage of funds. Pictures, letters, or other documentation of the ministry or project should be sent as soon as possible.
